QuEST South
In the heart of the Oxfordshire quantum ecosystem, QuEST South is delivered at Culham Campus in south Oxfordshire. Perfectly placed to link to Harwell Science and Innovation Campus including the Harwell Quantum Cluster and National Quantum Computing Centre, plus the rapidly growing quantum industry in and around Oxfordshire.
The first cohort of apprentices started in September 2024, and 25 apprentices have benefited from the full programme in the first two years, including industry apprentices.
The programme is delivered in 6-week blocks across the first year of the apprenticeship.
QuEST North
QuEST North is being developed at the Daresbury Laboratory with plans to commence delivery in 2027.
Due to the delivery model of training providers in this region, QuEST North delivery is likely to be in a 6-month block to second year apprentices (as they attend the training provider for entire first year).
With the National Cryogenics Facility expected to open in late 2028 and anticipated to attract an ecosystem of quantum-focused companies to the area, this training centre will provide a fit for purpose workforce with essential skills and knowledge for quantum.
